It is the word of Allah Almighty, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) through the Angel Gabriel (peace be upon him). It is the final heavenly scripture and the primary source of legislation and guidance for Muslims. It was revealed gradually over 23 years, preserved from distortion until the Day of Judgment, and contains matters of faith, worship, morality, laws, and stories of previous nations. It is also the eternal miracle of the Prophet in its eloquence and rulings. Allah says: 'Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder (the Qur’an), and indeed, We will be its guardian.' (Al-Hijr 15:9)"
